Beauty Trends to Watch for in 2018
Another year has come and gone, leaving us wondering what lies ahead in the the world of cosmetic treatments, beauty trends and makeup techniques. Here are a few of our 2018 predictions here at Advanced Eyelid Surgery Center.
Makeup: Natural Skin
Caked-on foundation is so last year. Actually, it really should never be an intentional look. However, makeup bloggers and YouTube celebrities often show videos where they apply so many layers to the face that when an average person tries to replicate the look, it often appears caked on and thick. This can be because of the products used or even just skill, as the ones sharing the technique often are makeup experts and know just how to blend and smooth to avoid the thick look.
Our 2018 prediction when it comes to makeup is that skin care products will replace heavier foundations to help keep skin healthy and glowing while looking naturally gorgeous.
Skin Care: One Product to Rule Them All
Tired of cluttered bathroom counters covered in different creams, lotions and potions that all do something different to keep skin youthful, smooth and healthy? Experts all agree that people are looking for products that combine formulas that previously had to be purchased and applied separately. This means less time on your skin care routine and more counter space!
Cosmetic Treatments: Focus on the Neck
Almost all of 2017's most popular cosmetic procedures involved the face. That's why in 2018, Dr. Davis believes women in particular will turn their focus to the neckline and chin. Kybella injections target fat cells under the chin for a slimmer, tighter neckline. Plastic surgeons also offer surgical neck lifts for those with more advanced concerns. But for anyone looking for a better profile or to ditch the double chin, Kybella injections are a great, non-invasive option that can be done in a short in-office treatment session.
