Ptosis
We offer surgical correction for ptosis. Ptosis is an abnormally low position (drooping) of the upper eyelid. This condition is sometimes called “lazy eye.” That term normally refers to amblyopia.. The drooping may become worse after being awake longer, when your muscles are tired.
Ptosis can interfere with reading and can lead to headaches and browaches from straining to elevate your eyelids. This is why it is especially important for this disorder to be treated in children at a young age, before it can interfere with vision development.
Ptosis repair is a functional or cosmetic surgery that may be performed on the upper eyelid to correct ptosis.
