Tip 1: Place Light Shimmer on the Inside Corner
Placing a little dab of a light eye shadow color, preferably with shimmer, in the inner corner of the eye makes eyes appear larger, more open and more alert. This quick addition to your makeup routine can make a big difference for your eyes
Tip 2: Swap Out Black Eyeliner with White or Nude for the Lower Lid
Instead of applying that black eyeliner to your lower lash line, use a white or nude liner. This creates the appearance that the whites of your eyes extend down farther, making the eyes seem bigger.
Tip 3: Don’t Connect Black Eyeliner
If you love your black liner and still want to use it on your top and bottom lash lines, don’t connect it. Leave a small gap between the two lines to create the illusion of space and make the eyes look bigger.

One of the biggest mistakes even self-proclaimed makeup lovers make is not blending eye shadow enough. The best way to do this is to finish off your look with a few strokes of a clean, dry brush to smooth and blend the lines.
