Lauren May, MD
Dr. May specializes in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the eye and face and is a board-certified, fellowship trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon. Dr. May provides patient-centered medical care and uses the most sophisticated techniques when treating her patients’ medical and cosmetic needs and concerns.
A graduate of Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Dr. May finished in the top 10% of her class. Dr. May remained at Northwestern for her residency training in Ophthalmology and was named Chief Resident. Afterward, Dr. May completed a two-year intensive fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. While at Duke University, she received the “Fellow of the Year” award for teaching.
As both a cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. May has an expertise in eyelids, forehead, and the lacrimal system. She has performed hundreds of eyelid, eyebrow and facial surgeries. With a thorough facial analysis, she customizes her approach for each individual patient. Dr. May enjoys working with her patients to identify procedures that will help them achieve their functional and aesthetic goals.
Away from her practice, Dr. May enjoys time with family and friends, travelling the world and playing with her two French Bulldogs.
